Strata Florida - Ystrad Fflur, Wales: the Cistercian abbey is the traditional burial place of Dafydd ap Gwilym (c.1320-1370), the most distinguished Medieval Welsh poet. The Cistercian Abbey lies in a 'wide valley of flowers'. Red kites can sometimes be seen circling in the thermals overhead.
