St Enodoc, Cornwall: the 13th century church lies in the Daymer Bay sand dunes, on the edge of a golf course. The church features in several of Sir John Betjeman's poems e.g. Sunday Afternoon Service in St. Enodoc Church, Cornwall. Betjeman (1906-1984), like his mother before him, was buried here. There is an inscription dedicated to the poet's father inside the church. |
