Cotehele Quay, near Saltash, Cornwall: the quay lies just below Cotehele, a fine slatestone house (largely built between 1485 and 1560). Cotehele belonged to the Edgcumbe family for centuries. The family also resided at Mount Edgcumbe on the Rame peninsula. See Richard Carew's 1602 Survey of Cornwall for an explanation about the name, Cotehele.
