Rannoch Moor: the way north to Glencoe, Scotland.

  • The 39 Steps is a thriller by John Buchan. In the 1935 Alfred Hitchcock version of the film, the police pursuit was shot in Glencoe and Rannoch Moor.
  • The Ballad of Glencoe was written in 1963 by Jim McLean. The words and music are subject to copyright (Duart Music, London). The ballad concerns the MacDonalds of Glencoe who were massacred in February 1692. Captain Robert Campbell of Glengoyn was in charge of the soldiers who did the deed.
