Fowey, Cornwall. Dame Daphne du Maurier (Lady Browning) 1907-1989 DBE, author (Rebecca, Jamaica Inn, Frenchman's Creek ...) lived on the edge of Fowey in houses called Menabilly and Kilmarth. Sir Arthur Quiller-Couch [aka 'Q'] died in 1944 and is buried in Fowey churchyard. |
