Coleorton, Leicestershire: Wordsworth stayed at Coleorton Hall, seat of Sir George Beaumont, founder of the National Gallery. In the Grounds of Coleorton is a poem about the gardens. It recalls how Worsdworth helped Sir George to plant a cedar tree in 1808. In 1823, Constable described the garden as a lovely place indeed. Coleorton Hall is a few kilometres from Grace Dieu. |
