This web page complements a small article of the same title, reproduced in 'Inscriptions' Volume 8 (p. 8), the Newsletter of the Friends of the Egypt Centre, Swansea [August 2001 PDF]. It is primarily designed to direct the reader to further sites about the modelled blue faience hippopotamus of Ancient Egypt. A select bibliography of related works has also been included.
