Caryatid

Eleusis Museum

One of a pair of Caryatids from the Lesser Propylaia at Eleusis, constructed in the 50s BC. The second statue was removed from the site by E.D. Clarke in the 19th century and presented to the University of Cambridge along with his other pieces of sculpture. It is now displayed in the Fitzwilliam Museum.
